Q:  Can your essential oils be used internally?

A:  No, we do not recommend internal use.

Using essential oils aromatically, topically, and other external methods will provide the best and safest results, but ingesting essential oils internally actually will provide neither the most effective nor the safest health benefits.

We understand that some major brands in the current market do promote the internal use of essential oils, but they may very well be making such claims haphazardly simply for money-making motives.  But not us at LAGUNAMOON™.  There is just too much misguided information being spread by these unethical suppliers, greedy sales agents, and misinformed “ambassadors” of MLM Multi-Level Marketing companies about the supposedly “safe” use of essential oils internally.

No matter who tells you otherwise, essential oils are best used aromatically and through other external methods only, and not internally.

    WHY NOT?

    1. Essential oils are just too concentrated for ingestion.
    2. Essential oils can potentially damage our internal organs.
    3. Taking essential oils internally is one of the least efficient methods of application.

Therefore, for your safe and effective use, we recommend that you use LAGUNAMOON™ Essential Oils externally only.

Q:  Can your essential oils be used topically?

A:  Yes, our essential oils can be used topically, but they must first be diluted with one of our carrier oils.  Lavender and Tea tree oils, for example, are commonly accepted as safe for “neat” application but we recommend doing a test on a small patch of skin prior to use to rule out any sensitivity with each essential oil.

Q:  Is it safe to use your essential oils during pregnancy?

A:  Educating yourself on using essential oils during pregnancy can be difficult, as there isn’t a lot of information available on the subject.  Pregnant and nursing mothers do not want to offer themselves, nor their children up for research in this area. Still, using essential oils in pregnancy and breastfeeding can be beneficial, but there are safety issues which should be assessed.  For more information, please see this link:

Q:  Can your essential oils be used on babies safely?

A:  No.  We do not recommend using our essential oils on babies or children below the age of 3.

Q:  From where are your essential oils sourced?

A:  Our raw materials come from various parts of the world.  For more specific information on each of our currently available 37 essential oils.

Q:  Can your essential oils really provide health benefits?

A:  Yes, of course they can provide health benefits – both physically and mentally or spiritually.

Q:  What is a carrier oil or base oil?

A:  Carrier oil, also known as base oil or vegetable oil, is used to dilute essential oils and absolutes before they are applied to the skin in massage and aromatherapy. They are so named because they carry the essential oil onto the skin. Carrier oils do not contain a concentrated aroma, unlike essential oils, though some, such as olive, have a mild distinctive smell. Neither do they evaporate like essential oils, which are more volatile.

Q:  How do I use each specific essential oil for the greatest health benefits?

A:  There are just more ways in which we can use our essential oils to give us health benefits than we can describe in just a few sentences.  How to use section in product page will give you reasonably good guidance.

Q:  Oily and do not smell pure or strong, is it real 100% pure essential oil?

A:  Essential oils can smell different due to many factors including seasons, places of origin, sunshine duration and collection methods.

Q:  The oils are supposed to sit on top of the water not dissolve! Why these oils are watered down?

A:  Essential Oils all have different density.

    • Some essential oils are less dense, like plastic spoons, so they will float on water.
    • On the other hand, some essential oils are denser, like a metal spoon, and will sink in water.

Q:  Why the essential oils left yellowing on my skin after using,is it natural?

A:  We do not reccommend using photosensitive essential oils under sunlight as it will tan your skin. In addition, essential oils cannot be applied on skin directly. It has to be mixed with carrier oil before applying.

Q:  Why the smell does not last long at all?

A:  Please double check if the ratio is appropriate. The recommend ratio is 3-4 drops of essential oils per 150ml of water or 5-6 drops of essential oils per 300ml of water. The more water you put the more drops of essential oils are needed.

    Q:  Oils smelled very artificial.Why?

A:  Our essential oils are pure and do not contain fillers and synthetic fragrances. Pure essential oils can smell different to people sometimes as it has top note, heart note and base note.
